"My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not An Option Show is coming for you. I'm going on the road. LIVE. Will there be surprises? Will there be guests? Will there be mayhem? Will you ask questions? Will you laugh? Will you scream? Will you know the truth? WILL THERE BE MORE?!?!
This IS where you will hear the REAL story from the Warlock. Bring it. I dare you to keep up with me."

Tickets, including fees, for the Chicago show are $48.92-$84.31.

Welcome to the road show of Charlie Sheen, as quoted on Tweeter this past weekend.

The show sold out at the Chicago Theatre in 18 minutes for Sat April 3rd and he is also playing the intimate Fox Theatre in Detroit on April 2nd.  We think Alice Cooper said it best “Welcome to my Nightmare” as this story continues to unfold and capture the public’s imagination. It is possible more shows may be added  due to the overwhelming demand, but this is unable to be verified at press time.

Speaking of Alice Cooper, congratulations to him on his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination.

To Sheen’s credit, he is donating one dollar of every ticket sold  to the Japanese Red Cross to aid in the massive efforts required in the wake of the horrific earthquake aftermath in Japan, our hearts and souls go out to the Japanese people during this trying time but we are convinced the resilience of the Japanese people will surge to the forefront and they will recover from this tragedy.

Neil Young is also playing the Chicago Theatre on May 6 and 7, ending his acoustic mini tour here. And in keeping with the troubadour theme, master songwriter Paul Simon, who is releasing his first new release in 5 years “So Beautiful or So What” on April 12th is playing the Chicago Theatre on May 17th with ticket prices ranging from $48.50 to $128.50.

Paul Simon is also appearing on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on April 6th and 7th as warmups to going out on tour, check him out.

Taylor Swift swings thru the Chicago area this summer, playing the Allstate Arena on August 9th and 10th. The Allstate is also hosting the top rated cast of “Glee” , the touring show ,for a weekend of 5 shows June 3-5. Both shows sold out quickly signaling some strength in the local economy as the summer schedule starts , an encouraging sign after the dismal results of last year.

Excitement is building here in Chitown with the Bulls and BlackHawks surging toward the playoffs as the regular season ends shortly for  both teams. The Bulls are especially capturing the attention of the public here, especially after Michael Jordan’s recent comments about his fervent belief in the potential MVP status of Derrick Rose and his candid appraisal of the chance of the Bulls winning it all sooner than in the 7 years it took him in his career to win his FIRST championship, ironically stated at a  celebration held at United Center  for the 20th anniversary of the first Bulls championship of the Jordan era on Saturday March 12th.

The Blackhawks, who recently visited the White House to celebrate the  Stanley Cup victory of last season, have been up and down in recent games, but still look like a playoff team in recent rankings, how great it would be to see both teams playing for championships this spring.

How amazing to see none other than Yoko Ono Lennon on the top of the dance charts with her new release, she plays with her son Sean at South by Southwest festival in Austin the weekend of March 18-20th, and she is hosting an interview segment on Saturday for the media, should be interesting.

Till the next time   MD
